Which parts of who I am feel chosen, inherited or still unfolding?

Questions about who we are can be exciting, unsettling, private or simply part of an ordinary life. You may be exploring a description or feel settled in it. You deserve to be heard in your own words, without being required to explain everything about yourself.

Identity can involve relationships, history, culture, roles and personal understanding. A label may offer language and belonging while leaving much of a life undescribed. If you want to talk, choose someone who can be curious without taking ownership of your answer. Certainty and change are both possible; neither is required as proof of authenticity. Other people retain their own agency too.
