Identity

Identity helps us understand who we are and where we belong. The Human Constitution explores our right to develop and express our identity, and our responsibility to recognize the dignity and worth of others whose identities, cultures, beliefs, or experiences may differ from our own. Through Istima, identity is not necessarily fixed. As we grow, learn, and encounter new experiences, our understanding of ourselves may deepen, expand, or change.
