Can we share ethical responsibilities without sharing belief in a god?

Atheism concerns the absence or rejection of belief in gods; it does not specify one complete moral or political worldview. The framework recognises room for non-belief alongside religious belief. People can explore dignity and responsibility through different philosophical foundations. Neither belief nor non-belief alone tells us whether someone will act with care or integrity.
