Authority

Authority is a form of power that exists in families, organizations, communities, and societies. The Human Constitution explores our right to question authority and our responsibility to exercise authority with integrity when it is entrusted to us. Through Istima, authority can evolve from control and hierarchy toward stewardship, service, and the wise use of influence.
