Power exists in many forms, including personal power, physical power, monetary power, social influence, knowledge, and authority. The Human Constitution explores our right to power and our responsibility to use it with integrity. Through Istima, power becomes one of humanity's greatest teachers. Dignity reminds us that power is not measured only by what we can do, but by how we choose to use our influence. Power used with dignity seeks to protect, strengthen, support, and develop rather than dominate, exploit, or diminish others.
