Negotiation

What would make an agreement fair enough to enter freely?

Negotiation makes interests, limits and possible exchanges discussable. Agreement may still be shaped by unequal information, resources or the ability to walk away. We can ask whether terms are understood and whether the other party has a meaningful choice. A workable outcome need not give everyone the same benefit, but hidden pressure and misleading promises undermine consent.

A question to sit with (optional): What can each side realistically refuse, and what important condition remains unspoken?
