Nature is not separate from us; it is the larger living system of which we are a part. The Human Constitution explores our responsibility to engage with the natural world with dignity, respect, and stewardship. Through Istima, nature reminds us that life is interconnected and that our well-being depends upon systems far larger than ourselves. As humanity's influence grows, so does our responsibility to use our knowledge, power, and resources in ways that support the flourishing of life. We need to collaborate and evolve with increasing dignity.
