Biodiversity reflects the extraordinary variety of life on Earth. Healthy ecosystems depend upon this diversity, often in ways humanity is still learning to understand. Yet many ecosystems are under increasing pressure from habitat loss, pollution, overconsumption, climate change, and other human activities. The Human Constitution explores our responsibility to protect the conditions that allow life to flourish and evolve. Through Istima, biodiversity invites humanity to recognize both our impact and our potential. The more we understand the interconnectedness of life, the more we are called to act with humility, responsibility, and dignity. The challenge is not simply preserving what remains, but learning how human development and the flourishing of life can advance together.
