Through Istima, extinction invites humility. It reminds us that humanity is powerful, but not separate from the systems that sustain life. The challenge is not only preventing loss where possible, but developing the wisdom, stewardship, collaboration, and long-term perspective needed to support a thriving and diverse living world for generations to come.
