Trade

Trade has helped societies exchange goods, knowledge, resources, and opportunities throughout human history. The Human Constitution explores our right to participate in economic exchange and our responsibility to ensure that trade contributes to human dignity, fairness, and long-term sustainability. Through Istima, trade invites societies to learn how to balance prosperity, opportunity, environmental stewardship, cultural diversity, and social responsibility. The deeper question is not simply how much wealth trade creates, but how that wealth contributes to the flourishing of people, communities, and life itself.
