Corporate responsibility concerns how a company's power and everyday operations affect people and the living world. It requires clear duties, ways for affected people to raise concerns and authority to correct harmful practices. Reflection on evidence and experience should influence decisions, incentives and supply chains. Public commitments and charitable giving may contribute, but they cannot substitute for responsible conduct in the core business. People affected need a meaningful voice and routes to remedy.
