Agriculture

How can food production support livelihoods and the conditions life depends on?

Agriculture involves land, labour, knowledge, markets and living systems. Decisions that look efficient in one measure may carry costs elsewhere. We can ask who makes those decisions, how farmers and workers are treated and how outcomes are measured over time. Different places may need different practices; claims about productivity or ecological benefit require local evidence.

A question to sit with (optional): What is being produced, what is being depleted or restored, and who carries the risk?
