Animals

Animals share our planet and contribute to the richness, diversity, and balance of life. The Human Constitution explores our responsibility to treat animals with dignity, care, and consideration while recognizing the complexity of humanity's relationship with other species. Throughout history, animals have provided companionship, labor, food, clothing, transportation, and countless other contributions to human civilization. At the same time, humanity's growing influence has created significant challenges for animal welfare and habitats across the world. Through Istima, we are invited to examine the consequences of our choices with honesty and compassion. The challenge is not only how we use our power, but how we mature in our relationship with other living beings. A dignified future requires greater awareness, stewardship, collaboration, and respect for life in all its forms.
