Food & Nutrition

What shapes my choices about food?

Food connects nourishment, pleasure, culture and our relationships with other life. Choices are shaped by cost, access, information and circumstances as well as preference. We can reflect on what our choices support and affect, while recognising that one diet will not suit every person or situation. Producers and institutions carry responsibilities for the conditions they control. Personal care and wider responsibility belong in the same conversation, without turning food into a test of goodness.

A question to sit with (optional): Which part of this choice is mine, and which part depends on access, information or the food system?
