Health

What part of my health is within my responsibility?

Concerns about health can reach into work, relationships and the ordinary things we want to keep doing. If you are worried, you deserve understandable information and time to ask questions. Your experience of your own body matters in the conversation.

We can care for our health without being able to control it. Seeking suitable help and attending to what is within reach belong alongside the conditions we live and work in. Illness is not evidence of moral failure. Employers, providers and public institutions carry responsibilities for the conditions and services they control. A general reflection can help you name a question; personal health decisions need attention to your actual circumstances.

A question to sit with (optional): Which concern would I like time to explain, and what information or support do I need?
