Media
How does the information environment shape what I notice?
Media choices shape which events, voices and interpretations reach an audience. We can examine ownership, incentives, selection and the difference between reporting, opinion and advertising. Readers have a role in checking claims, while publishers and platforms carry responsibilities for their own reach and practices. Disagreement with a story is not itself evidence that it is false.
A question to sit with (optional): What has been selected or left out, and how can I check the central claim?
