What makes a report worthy of trust?

A report can be examined through the evidence it provides, how sources are handled, whether fact and comment are separated and how errors are corrected. We can ask whose voices are represented and whether public scrutiny is possible. Journalists and publishers carry responsibilities that readers cannot fully take over. A perspective can be present without making all accounts equally reliable.
