Community
How can we build a community where people belong, contribute and remain free to question?
A community can offer belonging, shared purpose and opportunities to contribute. Clear agreements help people understand what they are joining and what they can reasonably carry. A maturing community also makes room to reflect on its habits, hear disagreement and address harm. Organisers carry particular responsibility for access and culture. Contribution can take different forms, and members need room for privacy, changing capacity and departure. Belonging should support participation without requiring silence or constant availability.
People may join for conversation, company or the pleasure of doing something together. Listening to what they seek helps organisers make room for human connection alongside the shared purpose.
A question to sit with (optional): What helps people contribute here, and which expectation or practice would benefit from an honest conversation?
