Learning

How can I recognise learning that I could not see at the time?

Learning may appear in what we notice, understand or become able to do before we can explain the change. Practice, experience and feedback give us material to work with. Reflection helps us question our interpretations and decide how to use what we have learned. In the language of Istima, maturing involves carrying that understanding into our conduct and responsibilities. We do not need an immediate account of every lesson, and later insight remains open to evidence and other perspectives.

A question to sit with (optional): What do I notice or do differently now, and what could help me understand or test that change?
